Re: Come on Spring!!!

In places where the water gets "hard" in the winter eagles will migrate south to where there is some open water.  They also follow the snow geese as the migrate north and south watching the flocks for sick and crippled birds.  There have been a number of eagles turned over to raptor rehabilitation facilities in the Nebraska/Iowa area this winter that have been found to have lead poisoning.  Likely from eating birds wounded with lead shot.  To add to Rich's observation I saw a flock of several thousand snow geese in a field near here a couple days ago - come on spring!  Getting itchy to get the Sport Fury out of mothballs.

Wait a minute - Bald Eagles migrate?  Figured they were just always around in our mild (wet) Seattle area climate...........

Did take the Dart out last night to get some fresh gas in it - hoping today would be dry.   The “scattered showers” forecast was dry yesterday - but wet today - go figure.  At the pumps a big, jolly guy walked up to the side of the Dart trying to figure out what it was - he read the Dart 330 emblem and proclaimed in surprise:  “It’s a Dart!  I didn’t know they made wagons!”...........  My response was yea, I think they crushed all the wagons..........  LOL
