Re: Fw: 65 Ignition Switch R&R

I use a small pair of needle nose pliers opened up like a spanner wrench, stuck in the slots, then turn.

This email was misdirected. I am re-sending for Bill.

My 2c is that the '65 ignition is threaded at the key side. The circular knob on the dash unscrews, allowing the ignition
assembly to release.

I recall an old discussion where there is some concern as to how to remove the dash knob without scratching it all up.
You don't just use some vise grips, that is. Hopefully some one will recall better than I can the trick/tools needed.

Thanks,
Gary H.

Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
