When I have to buy a battery, I remove all of the stickers and have just a plain black battery. It blends right in.

Yup.

There are places around my area that sell rebuilt car batteries for $49. You could use the "toppers" and post extenders
on one of these plain black case batteries and have the wallet thinned by around $150 for the whole setup.
