Re: ls Chrysler dead?

Seems we got  5 year reprieve... hopefully the next CEO will do a better job.. Sounded like even Fiat was on the chopping block.  Gives me time to get one more Charger before I bite the dust....  It's the curse of the Jeep..... every company that has bought out the Jeep brand has died.. except for Jeep.  Makes me loathe to buy one as a last gasp.....

WOW, Gary, wouldn't you love to have a '57 Chrysler Wayfarer?  Never seen one before.  Thanks for sharing that.

They would need to change the corporate name from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (abbreviated as FCA) to something else. Not "Fiat Automobiles" though, as "Fiat" is really a non-brand in the US market, perhaps even a negative brand.

>From a report posted yesterday: "Chrysler will, in fact, be sticking around for the foreseeable future. Tomorrow’s schedule corroborates FCA’s statement. Not only will Marchionne not kill Chrysler, but it seems he won’t mention it at all."  https://www.tflcar.com/2018/05/fca-update-five-year-plan/

"Not mention" is a backhanded compliment. I notice the  Pacifica isn't really advertised as a CHRYSLER Pacifica, just Pacifica. And the Dodge Ram is now Ram. Maybe someone in marketing can explain it, but ridding of brands with decades of build up seems shaky logic.

Here's a list of Chrysler vehicles throughout the years and in various countries:

1962 to 1965 Mopars are much easier to understand. :)

Thanks,
Gary H.
