Re: ls Chrysler dead?

It’s that damn 1.6 litter, “world engine” that isn’t worth a good fart.  FCA screwed everything up as far as I can tell, and the new FCA 124 is just a re powered Miata. Pure Junk.  I thought the dart and 200 were nice looking things, at the moment our only driving car is a 2014 200 with that under powered 1.6l under the hood, the car can barely move itself, let alone get out of the way on the freeway.

I just hope the rumor that Chevy might buy one or more of our cars namesake is just a rumor, I don’t want another Chevy at my house.

1962 to 1965 Mopars are much easier to understand. :)

Thanks,

Interesting, Gary, thanks for the link.

A couple of things, however. Wasn't the Prowler a Plymouth?

The Wayfarer shown is a bit jazzed up, so I've attached a photo of a more normal one. Still a neat rig and they were produced into the '62-'65 period. Also, the Wayfarer name continued into the Valiant line here and I've added a photo of a 1970 model Valiant Wayfarer.

A couple of pics in there are missing and I went searching via Google and found there was more than one Plainsman. They only list the Australian one while there was a 1956 Chrysler concept wagon of the same name (and no doubt the 1957 Australian release derived its name from that one).

If there's anyone here who knows how to add the Plainsman pics to the Wikipedia page I think that would be good.

Ray
