Re: Steering wheel R/R

I noticed that the June 2018 issue of "Mopar Action" magazine had an article about steering wheel swaps that included
several pictures of the removal process. Items noted include remove horn button, remove horn switch (usually 3
screws) and any plastic insulators and appendages. Remove the 3/4" hex nut from the center. Look closely for any
pulled threads. Replace it if ANY are noticed. Use steering wheel puller to remove steering wheel. On replacement
wheel, very lightly clean up the copper cladding with crocus cloth or Scotch-Brite and apply a thin layer of silicone
grease. Make sure the contact ring and cancelling pin end up with the pin at the 3 o'clock position as viewed from the
rear.

Thanks,
Gary H.

Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. That is, email your parts/car transactions and negotiations, as well as other personal messages, only to the intended recipient. Do not just press "reply" and send your email to everyone using the general '62-'65 Clubhouse public email address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine-tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
