Re: Upgrade for a Slant-6

The current carb is a Holley.  Is the difference in replacement possibilities only limited by the gasoline inlet placement?  Or, is the throttle linkage different between Holley and Carter?  Summit has rebuilds in both 2bbl and 1bbl carbs.  I obviously want to keep the EPA restrictions to a minimum on a 64 car.

Car has a black interior, so we are thinking either the original 64/5 gold, a dark metallic silver that Chrysler had in later years.  Copper or a light yellow might be nice.  Staying away from red (too many), black, white, silver, greens, blue, browns, purple, pink, etc.  See what the wife would like as it will probably be her "toy".

Is the carb a Carter or a Holley?

"What paint color?" That depends on a bunch of variables. Something that does not clash with the interior color with
or your personal paint color preference.

BTW, http://www.aussiespeedshop.com/product-category/slant-6-chrysler/ shows some funky \6 intakes.

Thanks,
