Always the big question with max cars...is it real?  But just checking a Darrell Davis book with the VIN is a good way to verify preliminary to an examination of the data plate and the S.O. number stamp in the rad support, since people have added or subtracted equipment to so many of them through the years of racing etc. I still see claims all about how Mopar did weird stuff and a particular car is really really real because a particular famous racer said so even though the data plate shows it to be a 318 car (actually happened when I was speaking to the owner of such a car at a show).
