Re: Torsion Bar Balloon Seal

No, just the rubber ones.  I got the other one installed tonight.  Used grease, heat, and my 23 year old son to help.  If anybody needs one seal, I have one left.

I’m trying to replace the Seals on the torsion bars on my ‘65 Satellite.  I’ve got one done but cannot get the 2nd one done without ripping it.  I’ve already gone through 3 and am about to order another set.  Does anybody have any hints on how to install these bad boys without ripping them?

I’ve cut the end off a funnel and used that on the first one in order fit it over the end of the torsion bar, but the others don’t want to stretch.  I even tried soaking one in hot water to make it more pliable, but no luck.

Help!
