In 1954 my uncle Bob moved to Palm Desert California from NY to look for a job. Just before Christmas he entered a supermarket contest on a lark and won a 1954 Corvette. As shown in the photo, he is sitting with his girlfriend (and wife to be) and her girlfriend. He couldn’t afford the gas or insurance and sold the car right off and bought something more practical. Nice Christmas present though. Have a great holiday.
