I had a new 65 Belevedere 11 with 383 and it came stock from the factory with the small air cleaner. It was not a large snorkel air filter. Those might have come on Furys but Satellites and Belevederes 383s came with the small one.

Both brochures shows the full size air cleaner on the 383. It's black with the snorkel.
I'm putting together a 1965 Satellite with the 383 4 bbl so I'd like to know what source you're using to say the small air cleaner is the right one because I'd like to get it right. Maybe it's a California car?

No. I have two sales catalogs from 1965 and neither show that air cleaner housing. They are larger than that one.

Does anyone know if this air cleaner appears to be original for a 1965 Satellite 383 (it's on a Carter AFB)? Should it have a decal? Bill Stevson
