RE: Disc Brake conversion question.



Jim - Manual or power?  Just front disc or rear too?  Most def should stop..........  What dia master cylinder?  How is the pedal?

I started with such a kit too - stock 73-80 Mopar front discs. They supplied too small a master cylinder in the kit at 15/16" - had spongy pedal.  Switched to 1 1/32" master cylinder, much better pedal.  Non-power.

Stopped fine but rattled - who designs rubber bands into the brakes anyway.  Switched to front disc Wilwood and could not be happier for non-power.  Sure it would stop faster with a booster.

I made the swap using SSBC discs, and the car will not stop. I'm going
back to drums on the car. The kit was around $1000
