Re: 1963 SF Steering Wheel

I don't have the measurements,  but I have put some really small steering wheels on my various 63's and never found any that were too close to the dash/instrument panel.  I think you can pick out what you want and go with it.

Hello,

The steering wheel in my 63 SF needs to be restored or replaced.  I would prefer to replace it with a smaller steering wheel.  My concern is that it is dished and I don't know which steering wheels may work without getting too close the brow over the instrument panel.

I really want a smaller wheel even though I have manual steering.  I'm not that tall with a 32 inseam but there is not much room for me to lift my leg and get to the clutch and the parking brake is worse.  The first picture is getting to the clutch, the second is for the parking brake.

Any thoughs on brand and issues with installation of an after market steering wheel would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dennis C.
