Re: max wedgebheads with edlebrockontake

I heard that you can use a razor knife or snips to take a stock valley pan, which of course is all one piece including the seals between the heads and the manifold, and remove those head sealing parts leaving just the part under the manifold. Then use soft gaskets for the manifold-to-head seals. I suspect that the stock one piece item or the stock size soft gaskets won’t seal the smaller manifold ports against the max wedge head ports but the other way around may work (max wedge sized gaskets).

Thank you for the advice. I decided on trying the performer rpm. Does anyone know if i can use the stock valley cover? If not whick one fits . Checked 440 source they have one but have to remove one head to install it. Seems senseless to me. Thanks
