RE: 62 Fury Trim - Where to Drill Holes?



Vaseline also works very well to “lubricate” and protect the holes and will prevent chipping your paint when using the spring type trim fasteners.  I always upgrade all my trim fasteners to the stud & spring type.  I find that all the trim holes are usually accessible from the other side/inside panels…and the nut on the stud is a more secure & tight fix without the chance of chipping paint or bending/denting the trim piece as is possible when using compression spring-type fasteners.

put grease on the ends of the fasteners, and place in the correct position
