My father-in-law had this to say as well:  "I think the side by side extra holes are for bench and one set of holes for buckets.  My 66 Sport Fury convertible has side by side holes on both sides also. "

My perspective, for what it is worth, is that the Sport Fury model along the bucket seat & console configuration was a late decision and Plymouth had to scramble to make it work on the assembly line. When one looks at the console floor mounts, they too look cobbled in, an afterthought to the original floor pan layout.

Also like my '63 Sport Fury.  Maybe someone drilled new holes to get a little extra legroom.

Thanks to you who responded on my previous post on re-upholstering seats for my 1962 Sport Fury.  I wrestled the seats out of the car today, my father-in-law (Larry Bode) and I were scrutinizing them, and now we're not sure if they were original to the car, based on the upholstery, and the extra holes drilled in the floor.

 

I've attached a few photos - if anyone recognizes what these seats might be out of (or what cars would have used this upholstery pattern), let me know.  I'd like to confirm if they're the correct seats or not.
