I put Lebaron spindles with disc brakes on my 58 Plymouth with the original master cylinder and they work great. I was being towed (before the car ran again) and someone cut us off...I was the brake man and slammed on the brakes. They worked so well it broke the tow rope. I also saw a magazine article on a purple 58 (hemi powered) that has Isuzu discs. You do have options that are cheaper. Take advantage.
