You might be better off looking for a 62 to 64 B motor 727 than going through the work of finding and then changing out the crank shaft in an already good motor. The easiest would be to install a 62 727 (check out Daven Andersons reply of 10 Sep, RE 66 BB wedge and 727 in a 57 Belevedere.) If you can locate one of these, it's pretty much a bolt in job. When your ready to restore the original engine and trans into the car, finding a buyer for the 440 and later trans to recoup your cost should not be to hard.
