The crank fits into those blocks, but then you will have to use a '62-up transmission (including the '62-64 pushbutton A-727) behind it. Using the pushbutton A-727 is a good idea anyway! You could have a custom billet crank made with an eight-bolt flange if you really wanted to use a pre-'62 transmission; but for cost and performance reasons the MP crank with an A-727 behind it is the way to go!
