D-500 was the engine designation for the Hemi 325 in 1957. so they were all Hemis. I have a 57 Sedanette with a 325 Poly. D-501 was for a very few that got a 1956 Chrysler 354 Hemi left over in the warehouse. THOSE are rare monsters, indeed. Wish Mine was one. Then i wouldn't have to be sitting here treying to figure out how to computer control fuel flow for a custom EFI setup for a 505 cu in Wedge motor, or how I am going to pay for it!
