Well... think about it...remember the ads? Pontiac was brilliant. Jim Wangers was a marketing genius. He knew the youth. He knew the streets. He knew how to promote. Remember the "mystery" tiger? And those ads featuring smoking tires and such? And the cars did look better than a Max Wedge. (at that time) But performance of an old goat just wasn't up to stuff compared to the MoPar.. The MoPars were, and always will be, the bad boys of the musclecar era.
