electronic ignition problem

I am updating my 61 Chrysler with new electronic distributor and ignition unit. As we all know when you turn the key to start position, igniton switch cuts all other bower exept that what is going to coil and starter. Ballast resistor "bleeds" 7 to 8 volts while starting but that is not enough for ECU-box. How can I get 12,5 volts for ECU for all the time when power is on. New switch? relays? diods? Anyone done that before?
