The "V-800" 318 c.i. 290-hp dual 4-bbl. engine was a $245 option for all Plymouth models except the Fury (which had it standard). The V-800 package included heavy duty transmission (for either the manual or the Torqueflite),torsion bars, springs, shocks and 14x6 wheels. The V-800 engines start their serial number on the block with "FP31". (The 301 starts with "P31" and the 277 starts with "LP31")
