Thanks for the info. Now the mystery deepens! The block in this car has a code of "P 318", followed by a 6 digit number (I just found the codes). It does not say "FP31"! I guess this means it is not the original engine, but now I'm wondering what car used the "P 318" engine prefix, and if it could have been a replacement for a bad engine or something. Whatever it is, it sure looks like the V-800 and it has been in the car a long time!
