I want to swap a 727 torqueflite (with a park) into a 1959 car that has a later model 383 Magnum and 1962 pushbutton torqueflite. The reason is to get a park gear. The question: Is there a difference in length or bolt pattern between a 1962 torqueflite and a later 727 with park? If not, I'm guessing it should bolt right in with the addition of a different shifter. Of course, I assume there is no way to make a 1959 pushbutton shifter work on a 727 trans with park. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
