My parts book lists 5 different torque converters for the U.S cars and two more of the Canadian cars. Unfortunetly it only specifies size or air cooled or not and not which trans. If you wish email me and I will scan the page from the parts catalogue and maybe that will help. The ring gears are all the same. It looks like a later built Powerflite is the same as the air cooled torque flight. water cooled not compatable with air cooled. The part numbers indicate some are the same. The part number criteria is based on build date and thus the number of clutches in the powerflite, 4,5 or 6. I can send you the scan of the special note page. I think if you have the two you might be able to determine if it will work.
