My '55 New Yorker has a really leaky transmission. I found a totally rebuilt Powerflite for sale that says it's a '58 unit, and I know in '56 Chryslers were switched to Torqueflites. I would think that this transmission would just bolt straight onto my bellhousing and crossmember, and I'd assume the kickdown and speedometer and everything else would be the same. Buying this one would be way cheaper than just ordering a rebuild kit, so I'd really like to know. Anyone have an interchange manual or anything? Thanks!
