What you need is a 318 ployhead also known as an "A" engine. It was made from 1957 to 1964 although there were some variations. The more modern 318 "LA" engine was made from 1964 into the 1980's. The also have redesigned the 318 again for FI. If your going to spend the money to rebuild an engien you may want to go with a 350 golden commando or even a Hemi. It cost more about $4000 to rebuild my 318 Poly.
