It is true, they can be rebuilt. CAREFULLY taek them apart and if all the flat plates are in good condition (no broken ones), clean out all the old hardened grease, apply lithium? grease and reasemble. jefff Carter (jcauto@eskimo.com) rebuilds them. He may have a rebuilt switch waiting just for you. I would love to see the article referred to my MikeB
