jd, If you are using the cast iron torqueflite on a a 360, besides the crank clearance problems, you also have a little difference in the drive sleeve for the front pump on the tranny. I do not know that a "newer" TC can drive the old torquflite. I think you are really better off either doing the 360 with the aluminum torqueflite, or going to the old 361 and the cast iron TF. mike
