I have heard similar stories about SMS, and also some success stories (e.g.- prompt shipment and good quality product). I think some of this has to do with the fact that the company seems to be understaffed. If you cannot get the product you need from them, then try ABC Auto Upholstery and Top in Philadelphia (215-289-0555, Ron Murray is owner). I have had good luck with his company. Also, try Original Auto Interiors in Columbus, Michigan (586-727-2486, Tom Ames). I got my headliner material from them. I know that SMS has the vinyl I want to finish my interior, but as of yet have not ordered it, but that is more of an issue with timing than reluctance due to "bad" reputation. I would like to know how you fare with this company.
