I wouldn't bother with Poly conversion heads for LA blocks. Now HEMI conversion heads would make more sense there (marketing image as well as performance)! I'm no fan of those crate motors and their brittle "hyper-u-crack-tic" pistons (I've seen THREE of them bite it before 12,000 miles!). Now since I prefer individually-built short-blocks with FORGED pistons, in this case a poly short block can be every bit as good as an LA short block. So the KILLER part for polys would be Aluminum replacement poly heads a-la the Edelbrock alloy heads for LA and B engines! A head of this caliber would put the poly pretty close in performance to even an LA Hemi conversion head, especially in street applications! Anyone got a spare few million for R&D and CNC prototypes?
