I built a hipo 440 years ago and was looking for a 68/69 Dart to put it in. Couldn't find one, so I decided to put it in my 67 Fury III instead. No one listed headers for 67 or 68 Fury, so I bought a set for a 67 Charger. Thinking that I'd probably have to cut and reroute a few tubes, I pulled the entire front end off the car. The headers (Hooker 1-7/8" primaries), dropped in perfectly. No interference with power steering, ac, 727, etc. The only problem was the rear crossmember was 10" from the collectors. I took it to a muffler shop who made up 2-1/2" head pipes to clear the crossmember. The point is, if I were you, I'd buy a set of headers and cut and fit as needed or use R/RB hipo exhuast manifolds. I used hemi roadrunner mufflers though they were a little pricey at the time. Several people have suggested not getting carried away with exhaust diameters and I agree with them. Anything over 2-1/4 on the tailpipes will cause more heartburn and disappointment than they are worth. My Fury III ran consistant 12.30's, got 14 mpg and had all the creature comforts. Not bad for a boat! Go luck! Herman
