Location: cornpatch county, Southwest IOA | Our 56 Chrysler was built to drive- not to polish on. I am doing good to wash and chammy it down. Therefore it is not near flawless, but I do like to enter car shows-not to try for a trophy, but to talk to the folks that find it interesting. Last Saturday, for several reasons, we traveled to Fremont, Neb( 150 miles) for their big 3 day celebration where they have a very good car show. My entry # was 645- don't know if there was that many actually, but there were a lot- including many nice cars from Omaha. We found a slip of paper on the car seat stating that we had won a special award. What could it be? a shot glass with Fremont stenciled on it?--Did we have something wierd like favorite whitewall tire?? Awards time and we didn't win even honorable mention---whats going on???
Special awards--Communications Workers of America- Local 7290- Choice- Love Of Labor For A Labor Of Love----and they called our name!! I couldn't believe it--all those great cars and they chose ours. I think at the next local cruise-in we will be displaying the trophy for the enjoyment of the Chebby- Ferd crowd ...............................MO

Look at it this way, every time your car recieves an award it means someone or group has just patted you on the back for all of your hard work.
Stick out your chest and be proud!! If you aren't you should be !!!!

Location: Farnborough. Hampshire. England. | Yeah Cornpatch, you got the translation spot on mate, to us in the UK, the dog's bollocks means something is " top notch " ( but not your legs ) and I'll take a raincheck on your offer of showing a bit more You asked me the other week if I knew Furiousbassman and Rebel, yes, I know them both, in fact, Furious bought (stole ) my '60 Fury off me last year...........Give Pete a big kiss for me, I'm gonna have a drive of that bugger one day !!! |

I think that is the biggest trophy I have ever seen at a car show. You have an beautiful car and it really shows well. Carole and I are so happy for you.
