Location: Lordstown, Ohio | Does anyone know where I can get a emblem for a 60 Phoenix Conv (D500) Or would anyone be interested in making a clay mould of theirs so I could make one for my car? Thanks, Wayne |

Location: Parts Unknown | This subject came up a while back and from what was said, plan on a long search, or a four digit expenditure, or both. It was also said that there are two different emblems with a separate type made for the wagon tailgate profile.
Machados would be the first people I would contact, as they have been into 60-61 Dodges for a long time.

Location: bishop, ca | A lot of times, 1960 D500 emblems will be for sale, without the seller realizing that they're worth mucho dinero.
The wagon emblems have noticibly flatter "wings", than do the other models, and the Phoenix's & Polaras shared the same
piece.
Wayne, is your car an original D500?

Location: Lordstown, Ohio | The car belongs to my dad. He asked me to post this for him. He is building a clone, the engine is from an oringial 60 Phoenix convertible. We were told by the guy we got it from that it came out of an D500 car. The car was a conv. sat in a building that fell in on it, which rotted the car half in two. All he did was take the engine and scrap the rest of the car....shame. My dad also has a 60 Polara 4dr hardtop that is suppose to be a D500 car. He wants to know how to find out for sure. I my self have a 60 Plymouth wagon |

Location: bishop, ca | Wayne, it's really a shame that the D500's Paint/Trim data plate, and its VIN plate were not preserved!
Wayne, if you'll PM me with a pic of the Polara's Paint/Trim plate, I can decypher a lot of its OEM option stuff , including the
D500 status, from that plate.
We also can talk about your car(s) over on the Fender tag Decoding Board, further 'down' on these discussion boards.
