Location: Upper East Tennessee | I need to tow a non running 57 DeSoto Firedome approximately 13 miles. For this I plan on using a tow dolly. In the past for high speed and long tow of a RWD auto tranny car I have removed the drive shaft to keep from damaging the transmission. Is there a recommended speed and distance for which the removal of the drive shaft would not be required?
