Location: Fredrikstad, Norway. (Europe) | Very nice car. When I was living in Calif. I had a friend that customized a '57 Coronet. He cut the fins the way I show on the drawing of my '60 DeSoto. And then he put a beefed up 392 HEMI in it. I never seem to get over that customizing stuff. Many ways to make a car extra personal.

Location: bishop, ca | The PLY's have a lower 'cut' rear wheel opening, than do the Doggies; I have to admit that your car LOOKS very good
in its partially-slammed attitude.
Nosed and decked, and stripped (of nameplates).
Dunno how it handles, but it looks very mean.

Location: bishop, ca | Greg, the caddie lenses fit right on a 59 Dodge; at least, I'm pretty sure that I've previously seen them be installed.
They REALLY look good when they're illuminated; like jets of fire.

I have never been a fan of the 59 Caddy tail lenses. Too many pukey cliche pink Caddies in the 80's, I guess. When the custom guys took to them, frenching anything from Model A's to 40 Chevs and poking those out of the holes, it was all just too cliche.
BUT !!!! ..... those 59 Caddy lenses on the 59 Dodge look like they were meant for the car ! Moreso than the Caddy itself ! What a natural ! They look perfectly integrated with those "jet tubes". Nice work !

Oh yeah, I see in the pics, they dont look to bad. They are alot easier to find than the 59 lenses. I need
the top lights, my bottom backups are ok.... hard to find NOS 59 Dodge lights. |

The car's currently for sale,(not that there's been much interest!),same old story-too nice to use every day now and a lack of secure parking where I live.
BTW it isn't actually red but an Audi orange called, um,Jaipur red.
It's a beautiful colour, even nicer when it's covered in gold 'flake as on my '58.
Cheers, fellas. |
