I bought that tank and put it in my 59 Dodge this past summer, the tank fit good and is of very good quality. The
straps that were supplied were too short.... so I cut my old ones and bolted them to the new ones to make
extensions so I could mount the tank. One thing, the new filler tube hole will be extremely tight, you will have
a tough time getting the filler tube into the tank. But it can be done will some elbow grease.

Thanks for the reply. Would appreciate name of vendor. Did you do anything special to overcome tight fit of filler tube. I noticed that several vendors have a tank; are they all the same? Thanks in advance for any info.

That tank from Atlasparts does not look like the factory tank. I bought mine from VansAuto, which is the company that started reproducing the 23 gallon tank a year ago. Go with the one from VansAuto.
