This Saturday & Sunday, April 17 and 18th, The Spring Fling, (an all Mopar show), will be held at Woodley Park, in Van Nuys Calif. I will be there in my 59 Dodge convertible, and Aivar will be there alto he is still counting fingers, toes this and that, etc etc to decide on what FL to bring---My guess is a Black 300 C convertible.
Who all is gonna how up? We will only be there on Saturday.
Looking forward to seeing you there!!!

Gary as you know, I will be there for both days! Flying in tomorrow to LAX and then shuttle up to Van Nuys, to take advantages of the multiple Friday night cruises. Great show for those who have never attended.
I like it better then the Mopar Nats in Columbus, Ohio. over 200+ mopar swap meet vendors, decent prices (hope this year is the same as before in that respect) And lots of Mopars of all decades there! 500+ cars

Well, the show came and went, and we had a "Blast" (from the past).
I took my 59 Dodge Convertible and Aivar took his 300 C Convertible.
I will try to post "Snapshots" tomorrow, in the "Meanwhile" you can go
to the 4 links below and see the "Cars In Action"
Watch as the Dodge "Chews up" that 392 Hemi Chrysler (LOL)

Gary it was good to meet you and Aivar at the spring fling show. Both of you have wonderful forward look cars that look even better in person. sorry we could not spend to much time together, but there is always next year.

In Las Vegas the next 3 days right now but then home to get back to work on my car for next years show!

The song was done by a friend of mine, a professional entertainer in New York, Rich Wilson.
He does Elvis, etc etc. I originally put the video up with the Del Vinkings singing the song (they did the original in 1957) UTube killed the sound!! Strange as I can find that same song up on UTube by them, several posts--go figger.
That's about as closeup of a 57 300 C Hemi in action as you're ever likely to see.
Glad You enjoyed it , Mike.

Maybe if you go to the Ontario car show this year, we can gets so,e shots of Your Christine in action?

I arrived without my beast (brake booster, stuck wheel, vacumn leak) and you guys had already split. The video looks great. Love that drive on the 210!

Hey Gary, can you recommend a good Desoto mechanic for me? Someone close to LA or in So Cal?

What kind of work do you need done, Gidman? I use a shop In La Habra for all the work on my car.
He converted the drive shaft and U-Joints to newer style, hooked up the parking brake to the rear drums instead of drive shaft, mounted the right had side rear view mirror, the dual antennas, rechromed the eyebrows and installed them, and fix the 413 motor in my 64 Dodge , a couple times, real seal.
He does complete restorations too, but I use him as a kind of all around handy guy.

I also got had a guy come by from JMC Performance who seems to be a Mopar Specialist.

If you are interested in either , let me know, and I will give you the "Details".
