Location: Sydney AUSTRALIA | My hearse is an Aussie 1960 AP3 Chrysler by Weber. I believe it to be the only remaining body style of this model. I know of 2 other hearses of the same model but they are different as they were built by another coach builder. I found her in 2003 in Tasmania and drove her back to Sydney (with a little boat ride to the mainland) roughly 1400 kms or 900 miles. She has 62,000 miles on her and drives like new.
Here's a quick story of some of the fun we've had in her. It was luchtime and we pulled into McDonald's drive thru. My mate jumped into the casket and pulled down the lid. The young muslim girl (with full head gear) at the window asked what we wanted. I told her a large Big Mac meal and one for my mate in the back. She looked at me strange and said "Yeah sure". At which point my mate raised the casket lid and yelled at her "I'm farken starvin". She fled from the window and wouldn't return. Shortly after, the manager came over and asked why his staff member refused to serve us and why she was shaking. Between us 2 laughing so hard, we told him what we'd done. He too broke into a hysterical laugh and gave us 2 free meals.

We don't have flower cars down here, so the flowers used to go on the roof. But you don't see no hearses with luggage racks ~ Gimme what you got ... Don Henley.

I'll try find the rego papers as it should be on them. To show you the size of her, here's a photo of her beside my Canadian export 1968 Impala wagon ... 1 of only 6 righthand drive wagons built ... so I've been told.

She was in service up the top of Tassie till the 90s and I bought her off an old bloke in Hobart. I'm in Bankstown. |

Location: Sydney AUSTRALIA | This Smith's built AP3 was owned by Graeme till just recently who runs that Aussie hearse site. The twin chrome strips down the side indicates it's a V8 (313 Poly)

Location: Perth Australia | I never really took that much notice of the royals (although when I was doing up FB Holdens, I thought one would nice with a V8), but I might scrounge around them more for parts for my plymouth
I can hear the royal owners already telling me to bugger off lol

Location: central Massachusetts | I would be proud to run any of these coaches in my business! Our new coaches are pretty and sleek but, they don't have the same emotional feeling as the big heavy hearses of yesterday. |

Location: Sydney AUSTRALIA | Beth your AP2 Weber looks great !! Weber used the same body for the AP1 & the AP2 but I'm sure you could add the AP2 fins, if you wanted too. IMO I'd look awesome with them. The whitewall look terrific, did you get them locally or import them yourself ? I'm sure I saw her on ebay a couple of years ago, I'll attach some photos I have. Are you in Sydney, as it'd be great to go for a cruise together and scare the living The scratch plates on the rear doors look to be from a FE/FC/FB/EK Holden and are worth quite a bit on money now.
