Next July we are planning on driving from here in COS to East Ridge/
Chattanooga for a http://www.desoto.org/convention_news
We have no plans to stay at 6710 RingGold with the others. Our lil
Pop Up RV Trailer seems to be our way.
This is where I am asking you guys for a hint of a County, State or
National Park that is about 20 minutes driving time from RingGold.
All we need is the Water and Electric connections. So far I see
http://www.tn.gov/environment/parks/HarrisonBay/#camping
that is starting to look attactive. The KOA's or other like "pack
um in" places are not in the future.

Location: Northeast Tennessee | Hi Rodger,
Thanks for the heads up on the Desoto convention I had no idea that it was going to be that close to me. It's about a 200 mile trip for me. As far as giving you a heads up on a place to stay I really don't know that area well enough to say, but maybe someone else on here can help you. We are going to start making plans right now to attend. My Desoto is no show car but I'll bring it anyway. Hope to see you there.

I wish I lived only 200 miles away. It is over 1200 from our place here in Colo Spgs. It is now down to about 335 days away, You
can see why the "pre-planning".
Not every Vehicle must be fully detailed with new paint, re-plated chrome and a set of tires with lil fine "knobs" to be a contingent
for a winner. There is a class called "Diamond In The Ruff" or "Surviver". At the Convention in ReNo there was no vehicles entered
in this class. I my-self favor vehicles that have been re-painted in the original type of paint instead of a "clear-coat" or the other
newer paints, and appear with appontments as most vehicles would have been in their first three years of life. I also praise the
vehicles that have been driven to the event from their home instead of been trailered there.
This is also a good time to look at the Event Swap Meet. In ReNo there were new Brake Drum Puller's for sale.
