If you are in the Los Angeles area, I can take you over to See Aivar's and Börje's car collections.
We can also attend a car show or 2.
We can take a cruise along the Pacific Coast in my Vert---Just be sure to bring that Cowboy hat!

Gary

Knott's Berry Farm...
the LA County Museum of Art is showing a Tim Burton exhibit that should be cool for anyone not even interested in "art"...

and last but not least, the Petersen Automotive Museum - currently displaying "supercars" in addition to the Hollywood Gallery, "cars of film and television" !!!
i've seen the Hollywood Gallery, 1999/2000 when Purdue went to the Rose Bowl...

Harrah's collection in Reno, Nevada used to be a worthwhile stop, but it's been 30+ years since I was there and I have no idea what's left.
The ACD collection is a must in Auburn, Indiana. It's at least a one half day event. Then there's the US Aair Force Muesem at Wright-Patterson at Dayton, Ohio. There is also a Packard Collection in Dayton, that has some very respectible cars to check out.

Bu, bu, but - your rides don't work John
Joke aside, I checked the distance and it's not too far from the rout that we are pre-planning. I just might drop in on a visit.

ah yes, almost forgot, you HAVE to visit Big M!
wish i knew of Big M when i was in Cali a decade ago, but i'm sure i'll make it back out there "someday"...

edit: typo... as a side-note, i wish the forum didn't put the "edited" line on posts that are edited within seconds of initial post...

If you are going that way, old route 66 is still running from Kingman to Seligman if you like to see that.

I'll probably have some pics from my trip from grand canyon to Williams ca. I'll check them when I'm home next week.

Sven, by November, Tioga pass may be closed for the winter.

SR #14, and US #395, out of LA is an open road divided highway beautiful drive.

While in LA, you should visit the Petersen Auto Museum.

If Tioga Pass is closed, you could take #395 thru Bishop (like Matthew just did), and, instead of crossing thru Yosemite
National Park (like he did), you could head on up to Reno and take in the National Automobile Museum, there, before
taking US #80 westbound out of Reno and over toward the Bay area, and Big M's digs...
