http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VERY-RARE-1958-Plymouth-Silver-Speci...
very nice old 58.this was a lifelong california car so any rust is at a very minumum.body is arrow straight.has a 318 engine and auto trans that ''operate'' but engine does seem to burn some oil.brakes could use some service due to the car sitting.this has a birth certificate.for those of you who arent familiar with this model,it was a very rare early 58 option that was only used for a couple months, mainly as a promotional tool to sell more plymouths.seldom seen anymore, and certainly not this original.seat could use some repair and the car could benefit from a general restoration, but i know with a few hours of work you can be cruising this down the road.dont miss out, because its not likely another will come along soon.feel free to email questions and request extra pics

Location: Williams California | It would seem extremely unusual for this entry level car to have factory A/C, but how does one know with only one photo of the exterior?

Location: The Mile High City | There is an odd duck for you: the "recession fighter" equipped with the most expensive factory option available! Wonders never cease.
No title? Who knows whose car you are buying

Location: Parts Unknown | There were those occasional buyers who stepped down in model and then added specific goodies they wanted.
I have written before about the 57 Firedome convertible I found once. An absolute stripper with dog dishies,
no color sweep, and a 3-onda-tree ! But by Gawd !!!! Someone got out the door with a DeSoto convertible !!!
They had to give up every conceivable cost item to do it, but they got THAT car !
Kinda of like the stripper NY'er discussion we had recently. The farmers were a frugal lot and not up for all that
fancy bling. But they wanted the fancy name NY'er. So, these oddball top-o-the-line cars went out the door outfitted
like Plymouth Plazas.
Heck, ... my Plaza has PS, PB, upgrade interior, V-8, TF, and dealer-added A/C ! Someone didn't care about fancy
appearances. They just wanted the driver comfort stuff. Get a Plaza and spend the extra dough on what you want !

Location: Belgium, 40 miles south of Brussels | It's strange that the only mention of the A/C option is in the title of the auction ...
In his text, he speaks about the state of the car, its options ...
But he does not say one word about the A/C option !
Being a very rare option, you might expect it would have been put forward in his ad !
(And yep, that's 4 times the word "option", one in each sentence ...)

There is a thread regarding this car under the Pacific Northwest region, titled Dream car.

Location: Parts Unknown | John already got a new windshield in it. Being the "show season", he's got it on "ignore"
setting right now. But it is all sealed up and deterioration will be slowed.
