Location: Sept. 1958 | Went to Hershey today. A lot of neat cars, some cars I did not take photos of, will try again tomorrow.
This 60 was priced at $12K, had a 318, automatic.

The price on the 57 Plymouth was $24K.
The 60 Chrysler had factory air. I believe that car was priced under $10K. |

Yeah, I can get some more info on it and contact info for you. I *think* it belongs to a member here, as I recall seeing the car before. |

60s are sweet, but I like 61 Chryslers a lot. Looking at the registration for show day Saturday, Tom White is showing a 61 Chrysler. I bet it's one he was telling me about 3 years ago. He found an all original car with original top, etc. I believe he said it was a New Yorker Convertible. I'm looking forward to seeing that. |

Location: The Bat Cave, Fairborn, OH | That black 2-door 60 Dodge Phoenix looks like it would be a pavement ripper to me. Most of the modifications that I can see appear to be well done. I am wondering though why he changed the steering wheel horn ring to a 1959 model? I had both a 59 and a 60 Dodge and that definitely is the style of horn ring that was on the 59. It could have been an optional item on the 60 too, but I've never seen one with it before. Wonder what kind of money he's looking for? Edit: I see that the push button block off plate is installed so that means the car probably has a manual transmission. It probably didn't come with power steering either originally. Thus the 59 style horn ring may have been what the factory used in manual transmission equipped cars.

You are right, The 1959 type steering wheel and horn ring came on 1960 Dodges equipped with a manual trans. |

Location: York County, PA | Dear Ian,
I talked with the person who owns the black Phoenix and I plan on looking at it next week if it doesn't sell at Hershey. The car is his father's race car which was modified when new to run on a dirt track oval, that is why you see the early modifications. As a youngster this person went with his father to race this car, His father sold the car after a couple of years and it disappeared from view. Pete went looking for it and after twenty five years of searching found it and brought it back to life as a labor of love for his father, so there are old and new mods. By looking at the local newspapers, his father was a prominent local driver but never turned pro. The price 30K. Claudia |

No other photos. No antenna nor holes for any, so I guess it's up to the buyer? to figure out which ones they want. |

The price on the Desoto was $33K. Not sure if it sold, I didn't go look at the car carrol today, was pretty much just on the show field. Tom White lives in Massachusetts, he's got FLs and is the best at restoring these to perfection. |

christine-lover...do you know who owns that project DeSoto Fireflite? Any contact info?
No, it was sold, price on it was $800. No engine, very rusty.
Well...poop.
Did anyone here buy that Fireflite?
Thank you for the really great photos. I've GOT to get to that show some day.

Location: new york | It 's nice to see 55&6 Chryslers & Imperials with wheel covers instead of wire wheels! It seems that every Tom Dick & Harry are putting wire wheels on every 1950's Mopar alive. I found a set for my 56 Plymouth in 1982 before they repoped them now they are every where. Nice photo's Hershey was great as always and the nice weather sure helped. I got sunburn! HAPPY MOTORING! Victor. |
