Location: Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island, Canada | Nice cars. I'm not one who likes concours judging, personally.... it sometimes gets to be too political. I was at a 300 Meet many years ago, and my 62 was parked beside another 62 300 Sport. The other car looked literally like it had been painted with a vacuum cleaner, and the back seat ( original leather) was completely thrashed, and the engine compartment was a mess. The front seat had been re-done, that was about it. I lost out to it on point value concours judging, somehow. At that time I didn't really care that much as I had already won a few trophies at other meets, but some of the other club members came by later and commented to me and just shook their heads about how that car could have beaten mine on points. Mine had mostly all new leather at the time, a straight body, and smooth paint job and a nicely detailed engine compartment. That was around 1988. To see the two of them parked side by side it must have been an embarrassment to the judges when the winners were announced.

If your Sport was being judged, then that was the other 300 Club.
