| i have never owned a dodge before , but when i seen the van and how unusual it appeared i knew i had to have it .
the model number is C3-C6-95
the post office number is #6-A-1101
the delivery date was 8/24/1956
body by ***eol .
i have yet to find the vin # . can someone tell me where to look ? its not on any of the plates above the door .
i have been told that this is a very rare dodge and that only around 800 were produced . can anyone verify this ?
i found this on craigslist . it has been sitting in a field for 32 years , but to my delight there is no cancer along the bottom . the body has minor dings and dents , but nothing major . the flathead 6 is stuck from sitting for so long and even the spark plugs don't want to come out . i have sprayed the top of the head with PB blaster and after a week or so i will try to remove the plugs again .
the van started its life as a mail truck and then somewhere down the line it delivered news papers for the radio post there in fredricksburg tx . it was then purchased later by the lady that had it to use as a camper until her house was built . she said that she had lived in it for over a year . |
