Location: Parts Unknown | My Mac doesn't offer that option in the "right click" pop up menu.
Thanks for the good copy though ... I saved it to my reference materials folder. |

Location: NY & VT | USA... one of few states with green plates, and I can't believe I don't know this car. Lived there almost 10 years, still have a place there, and the FL community is very small. Plus we've been to the big Stowe show most of the last 40 years, and my uncle has sold parts there forever. Wonder whose it was?
How did that padded dash survive like that? -30 below is not very conducive to their survival.

Location: Parts Unknown | Just Dashes has been repopping the Chrysler-DeSoto dash pad now for 20 years.
Perhaps it isn't original ?

Nice Desoto, nice colors and a nice price if it stays at that with 15 hrs to go.
What's the actual names for these Desoto colors ??
.........
Also a nice red HG Holden Monaro ( Chevrolet SS South African export ) sitting in the driveway next to the Desoto.

Location: NY & VT | Like the color combo on this DeSoto... and overseas they seem to appreciate sedans way more than we do in the US.
Colors are Willow Green and Spruce Green on Dupont US chip charts.
I didn't know that the dash was re-popped (pooped?) by Just Dashes... and I can just imagine the price, they wanted $1K+ for my Fury!
The '57-8 Chrysler - I'd imagine because of 300 demand - is also re-popped in Sweden for $600, and a really nice piece it is too. My next big purchase for the Windsor. Are the Chrysler & DeSoto pads the same? They do look close on casual inspection.

Location: Perth, Western Australia | What is hilararous is the final price is higher than the prior two auctions that failed to get a bid. I would ask the question of our US friends though. What would a similar car genuinely sell for in the States? |

Location: Perth Australia | I would have thought 16 wasnt that bad, but then again, the other fl cars that are for sale here are not really setting the world on fire either.
That pink 59 dodge that I put an offer on is a good example (I think), I found the orriginal (FL) for sale add @4000, with transport to a US port then to AUS, with all the other little costs, I think my offer is close to reality, But the seller is a dealer (of sorts) and would obviously not want to just brake even or take a loss.
Its sitting at a buy it now of 13500 which is to much for me, but a buyer has the advantage (if they are here in Perth) of being able to see and touch the car.
Much better than buying by photos and hopeing its as good as it looks.
If I was to have bid on that soto, I would have had a trip to look at it (looks darn good in the pics) to be sure

Location: Northen Virginia | Lot of cars still around, and owners don't even know about this site and no just folks who own cars, I'm talking about people who actually go to car shows and such. I found 3 FL owners on DE car show who never heard about the Network. |

Location: Parts Unknown | The DeSoto will get an OEM color change and a 1960 floor shifter to row a modern manual. Other than
that, will be pretty much very original in appearance. The color reference is to archive to future questions.
This green is not a commonly seen interior color.
