| I saw these guys at the car show this weekend... lets just say it didnt leave a good impression. I think your better finding a reputable close by vendor or a good refer from here.
their prices were pretty much avg so its not like they offer a great discount. |

Location: central Illinois | A friend of mine recommended Keystone as a source for having bumpers rechromed. I asked if it's the same company that makes/made the mag wheels and he said yes. He said to take the bumpers to an auto body shop that does business with Keystone, they'll pick them up and bring them back to the body shop when they're done. The bumpers on his New Yorker look fantastic.
Does anyone else have any experience with this procedure? |

I called and talked to one of the sales people last fall and I was left with the impression that they are straight shooters and I plan to use them. Here is a link with a lot of positive feedback. Sorry about the link not being live. Maybe someone else can repost it so that it will be live- Some kind of problem with Mac/Chrome. Also sorry that it is Chebby related. http://www.chevelles.net/cgi-bin/forum7/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=000416;p=0 |

| I agree about bumper boyz! I originally liked them but the bumpers I bought from them for a f--d that I am working on are poor quality. they looked nice but after 6 months on the car the chrome has peeled in a 4 inch strip and the chrome is starting to rust. it would probably cost more to deal with them on it so I will eventually have them redone by some other place who does better work!

| My dad bought a bumper from them and had a problem with it and they got him another then it had a place crack. No warranty on replacement. I looked thru their boxes at a swap meet with a buddy who has a 442. One had a pile of rust in the box!
Heard good things on tri city but never used them |

Does anyone else have any experience with this procedure? I have nothing to base this on, but I don't think this Keystone is the same company that made the wheels.
This Keystone is a auto body material supplier, widely known in the industry. They will pick up your bumper at any place that is on their route, and return them there when they are done. They bought out "North Star" bumper re-plating which did reputable work. My brother had Keystone do his massive Thunderbird bumpers an was very pleased with them. They straighten the bumpers and offer ( I believe) OEM or show plating- whichever you want. ..................MO |
