Location: Southern California | I have looked for a decoder to decode the tag on my Mothers 57 convertible. Can't seem to find one that goes back far enough. Does anyone have any info on this? Thank you |

Location: Connecticut | Hi Jane - You have a 300C convertible in Copper Brown, built around April 26, 1957, with beige leather interior. The car has the following options: manual antenna, power windows, power seat, white convertible top, music master radio, heater. Note: It's curious that the car has code 322, which is rear speaker. This option was not available on a convertible for obvious reasons. I don't have info on code 265. Maybe Wayne Graefen can chime in on that. Ron |

Location: Connecticut | Also, is your car listed in the Chrysler 300 club registry ? They keep a database of letter cars, in the interest of documenting all existing cars. Ron |

Location: Under the X in Texas | Code 265 is a shipping code. While never perfectly positively defined, it is strongly believed to indicate truck delivery to the dealer. I've been selling a 60+ page 300C Handbook for over 15 years that lists all the codes and much MUCH more. I was beginning to believe every 300C owner on the planet had one by now. Apparently not. Let me know if I can help you. |

Location: Southern California | Thank you Ron, you have been very helpful. Can you tell me what number out of the total made this one is?
And I believe that the 300 club is aware of this car. I will ask my Mother to make sure. I know she was never a member, but I remember being dragged to many 300 club meets when I was a kid. I registered it personally on the Mopar registry. And I have been in contact with the 300 club in the past.
Thank you for all your help. I already knew most of it, just wanted to make sure. It is a completely stock, totally original, complete car, sitting in Moms garage. The only things that have ever been done to it is a close to original paint job and a new, white, top. It, at one time, was her daily driver. But it is in need of a complete restoration, and we are trying to decide what to do with it.
Thanks again!
