These cars had nothing but the basics pre wired, so if it didnt have that accessory or another thing (eg, reverse lights), there wasnt any provision put in for it
My car is a 60 dodge with a plymouth dash, so a bit different to yours, but, near the fuel or temp gauge, you might find a juntion connection that has 6 spade terminals on it, if it has this, it is the accessories connection point (and no, you wont find a fuse box, so dont forget to put a fuse in)
So, in a nutshell, you just have to string a wire in and if your putting a modern radio in (with a memory), then your really going to have to put every wire in
